Craig's the man (the owner). Place is always organized. If you're in a pinch and don't know what you're doing Craig can help (for a fee) or you can get lucky and someone else there working on their bike might be able to help you out. All the tools you need and then some. Zero knowledge of bikes prior to this and I fixed my suspension, chain, sprocket, handlebars, and the list is continuing. Check it out.

Been there couple of times, I find this place as a Home for me and my bike, they have all the tools you every dream of, easy and well organised! You can weld, change tires and do a complete project (you can keep your rig overnight) They also offer teaching in small group for all the levels so you can take care of your bike and the machines in the place. The staff are so nice and helpful... I will definitely come back every time!

You can rent a space by the hour (or monthly) and work on your bike. Most tools you may need are provided.

Moto Guild is an amazing Do-It-Yourself motorcycle repair shop and great for both beginners and experts. I started coming here a few years ago and barely knew how to change my oil. Now I can do all the basic maintenance myself and I still take workshops or work 1:1 with a mechanic when doing more complex repairs. The shop has all the tools and equipment you need and everyone in the shop helps each other out so it’s a great little community. The shop stocks oil, filters, and other necessary items, plus they will order parts and tires for you whenever needed. There is a consignment section where you can buy and sell gear and there is a simple kitchen area to refrigerate and microwave food when you need a break. It’s so much better to work on my bike at Moto Guild than to do the work at home or out in a parking lot. Being able to lift my bike up on the stand saves my back, plus being surrounded by the right tools and professional mechanics gives me the confidence to fix and maintain my bike and if I cannot finish the job in one day, Moto Guild will store my bike. Best of all, I get a real sense of accomplishment when doing the work myself. If you are considering doing any work on your motorcycle, definitely come here to take a workshop and learn to use their equipment.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of both taking the minor repair course and renting workshop space at this DIY motorcycle mechanic shop — and honestly, it’s been beyond excellent. The course is taught in small groups, which means the instructors actually have time to explain things thoroughly. It’s hands-on, supportive, and refreshingly unpretentious. You bring your bike, and they’ve got everything else covered — tools, parts, the lot. As for the hourly workshop rentals? Just as fantastic. The space is clean, everything is well-organized and labeled, and you’re free to get into the work without being micromanaged. It’s a dream setup for anyone who enjoys wrenching in a functional, no-stress environment. Special shoutout to Craig, who went way above and beyond. He came in on his day off just to help me out with a last-minute chain replacement — not only did he assist with the order, but he walked me through the whole repair process with patience and genuine encouragement. Craig’s the kind of guy who makes you feel capable. Zero ego, all heart. A real dad-energy role model. If you’re even thinking about learning to work on your bike or just need a space to get it done, this place is a gem.

If you live in the Bay Area and, like myself, and don’t have a garage to work on your bike — this is your place. Or maybe you don’t know a whole lot about bikes, but want to learn how — this is your place. They offer classes or one on one time with a mechanic. Every tool you could ever need is here. They can get you any part you need, and usually for the best prices. The whole place is a community of people who love bikes and are happy to offer a helping hand. Alecks and Wilder are the salt of the earth and have created an awesome little paradise for every motorcycle rider. Been coming here for a couple years now, back when they were still in Potrero Hill. T.I. has more space and allowed them not to hike their rates (they actually sent out a poll for people who used the shop to vote on the new location, mad respect). This place is awesome. Even if you don’t have a bike to work on, but love riding nonetheless, at least come check it out.

What a wonderful place for motorcycle enthusiasts! The owner Craig is so helpful. He is answering all questions you have. I suggest to take some classes from them cause maintenance is not easy as you think.
